Trade Show Temporary Employee Placement Service Guidelines
-Option A -Placement fee of $80. per person/position IF you handle all paychecks yourself. Regardless of the number of consecutive days the temps are needed. All wages will be paid by you directly to your employee on the LAST DAY OF WORK or other scheduled time frame which you have made clear to your workers, as long as it is within two weeks of their last day. Tell your employee how payment will be received; apps or mailed check. I will need to know this ahead of time to help temps plan, as well. I will not handle any aspect of payments (collecting addresses, W9’s, time sheets, calculations, repairing mistakes, etc.)
-Option B -Placement fee of $130.00 per person/position IF I am required to handle wages and payouts. You will receive an invoice due upon receipt. Employees must be paid within two (2) weeks of the last day of the show. You will use a time sheet for signing in and out, which should be forwarded to me within a day or two of shows end. If you require a W9 for anyone earning over $600. then you will mail their check directly to them.
-Option C – Placement fee of $50. Per person/position. SINGLE DAY ATLANTA ONLY– NON-SALES STAFF Steaming, unpacking, merchandising, packing, moving, etc. You are present to oversee work AND You pay wages at the end of their day. If you choose to have them back for more work within a 9 day period then your hire will be – changed to Option A.
-Option D - NON-SHOW TIME TRIP to building FOR PRODUCT SHIPMENT - If you need a small number of items from your showroom packed and shipped out in between shows, I can do this personally with a $30. trip charge (gas, driving, time, parking expenses) and $20. per hour while working and return drive. If you need larger amounts of product shipped and temps are needed, we can work something out.
-I must require that you may not use this same employee for future shows without going through me. Please do not call temps directly to ask to work at future shows. If the employee is found working in your showroom anytime within three (3) years after my placement, you will be billed a placement fee. I work hard to learn what you like, find good people, make good connections and appreciate the respect.
-Cancelling a confirmed (by email or text) position 48 hours or less before the assigned show starts will result in a $40. fee as all work has been completed on your behalf. This includes refusing a replacement if the assigned temp has an emergency or is rejected.
-My placement fee will be due upon receipt of the invoice. If the fee has not been received within 15 days after the invoice there will be a 10% per week late charge.
-****Any paper checks being mailed from outside of the state of Georgia should be sent priority or overnight when wages are being paid****
-Employees will have basic training, guidelines and expectations from me prior to working. And typically full experience in your needs.
-If an employee is released or leaves (emergency or otherwise) within four hours or less on the first day and will not be returning, or is a “no show”, I will do my best to replace the employee but cannot guarantee with last minute conditions. I typically do have “on call” replacements.
-If you are unsatisfied with your hire for any reason, contact me right away. I will do my best to resolve or replace the person.
THE FINE PRINT:
-One placement time period consists of any days worked within 14 days of their first scheduled day. (For example, if you use a person to set up your showroom in early December, there would be a separate fee to book them for the January show.)
-Any break of work lasting over eight days would be a new placement.
-I will consider a “buyout” if you want to hire an employee to work with you long term. This is great if the temp is fully committed but can become a loss to you if they become unavailable. No Refunds for any reason (Buyout $250)
